Every American thinks and acts big; that is why everything in that country is massive. – Big cars, big shops, big hotels and buildings, big industries, etc.
This five-star hotel in Greensboro, North Carolina, USA is also a big dream. It is a beautiful place to lodge and to enjoy the best comforts of life. It housed fifty Nigerians for one week in January this year, all of whom were guests of His Majesty, Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi.
They were in the Kabiyesi’s entourage to install Dr. Robert Brown as a chief in Ikorodu kingdom and to unveil the statue of Oba Shotobi in the International Civil Rights Museum as well as to receive a Vanguard award from Black American Civil Rights Activists.
Each of the guests paid $1,000 (One thousand US dollar) for the period (about N250,000). Trust Nigerians, they made every good use of their time and money in that hotel. Always in their traditional attires, they staged one attraction or the other, enjoying the best of the food, drinks and other facilities the hotel provided. Not forgetting the serene environment, the wonderful architectural structures, and the beautiful and friendly Americans, who attended to the hotel lodgers.
Only the Oriwu Sun Publisher, Chief Monzor Olowosago and two other members of the Kabiyesi’s advisory council, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya and Otunba Ayodele Elesho, were with Oba Shotobi in Dr. Brown’s palatial residence.
