The residents and commuters along Sabo, Ikorodu Road beside Lawal Olorunshola Street, Sabo, Ikorodu have lashed out at the managers of forte oil filling station over the continued abandonment of wreckages and heaps of sand transferred from a nearby land onto the community road.
According to a stakeholder, Mr. Lawal Olayiwola. who spoke to our reporter thatvisited the area on Saturday June 18, 2016, “before the establishment of the Forte Oil Filling Station, the road had been in a very good condition and we move our cars without stress and walk easily through the road.
But after the advent of the filling station, the dirt and sand wastage have continued to occupy the road causing untold hardship to commuters and motorists.”
Mr. Lawal stated that all the efforts they made to reach their boss only ended up in empty promises from April 2016 till date.
Another resident, Mrs. Aderemi, (Iya Abolore) hair dresser, “we have tried to meet and plead with the manager to help us remove the abandoned dirt and restore the sanity on the road before the rain starts in June but all our pleas fell on deaf ears. I want to use this medium to plead with Forte Oil management to do the right thing at the right time.”
