Police declared Charles Ikechukwu Nwadiani wanted

The Onikan Zonal Headquatres of the Nigerian Police Force has declared wanted, one Charles Ikechukwu Nwadiani (m) on six count charges of impersonation, extortion, fraudulent act and evading police arrest.

In a memo released by the Force Directive C.I.D. Monitoring Unit Onikan, a warrant of arrest was issued by a Magistrate Court in Lagos declaring Charles Ikechukwu wanted for offence of conspiracy, threat to life, impersonation, forgery. O.B.T., and conduct likely. According to the notice, Charles paraded himself as a legal practitioner (a lawyer) on false ground to defraud people.

It was stated that sometime in 2017, Charles Ikechukwu who operated in the Igbogbo town of Ikorodu presented himself to one Mr. Samsideen Olakorede as a lawyer. He allegedly, unlawfully obtained the sum of one million four hundred and fifty thousand naira to help Mr. Samsideen Olakorede prepare a petition to the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 2, which he failed to do. The offences are punishable under Section 314 (1) (2) (3) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

On the second count, Mr. Charles Ikechukwu was accused of parading himself in Igbogbo as aide to the former Lagos State Governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and using the false status to extort money from members of the public. An offence punishable under section 380 (1) of the criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.  The third count charged Mr. Charles for impersonation and parading himself as Special Adviser to Engr. Rauf Aregbesola when he was commissioner of Works, Lagos State. It was alleged that the accused used this false post to dupe and extort money from people, an offence punishable under section 380 (1) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The police warrant also accused Mr. Charles Ikechukwu of forging document portraying himself as Charles Nwadiani & Co. Legal Practitioners, with the address No. 15 Lajo Town, Igbogbo, Ikorodu. An offence punishable under the section 363 (a) (b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

It was stated that Mr. Charles Ikechukwu Nwadiani evaded arrest on July 12, 2019 after sighting men of the Nigeria Police Force, Zone 2 Command Onikan. He ran away to avoid being arrested, an offence punishable under section 17 (1) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State.

The police warrant of arrest describe Mr. Charles as a businessman who hails from Delta State and is 40 years of age. He is 5.2 in height, heavy built, oval face, round chin, small mouth, thick lips with good set of teeth, white eyes. Charles has round chin, small head, low forehead and likes dressing in jacket & trouser. He is frequently visits areas in Ikorodu which include places like Lajo Town, Igbogbo; Nichemtex, Cappa Ibeshe; Sky Bright Hospital, 9 Lupoluyi Street; Olugbowa Estate, Odofin Igbogbo, Ikorodu. The police enjoin members of the public to arrest and hand him over to the nearest police station, if seen or call 08037645728.
