Please, let’s come out on March 18 to vote Gov Sanwo-Olu for second term

Now that the presidential election has been won by our most deserving, hardworking and kindhearted Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, we are very sure that the renewed hope vision would not only be for Nigerians alone, but for Lagosians too. It is now left for us Lagosians to come out en masse to vote Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu in the next guber election.

The man has done well in all ramifications in Lagos State through his THEMES agenda, and by the virtue of that, he deserves massive support from us.

The youths in Lagos must forget about the past and join forces to support Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. He is a man who is working round the clock to build a greater Lagos for us all. He sacrifices his time and ensures that the Lagos he met is better and would not spare anything to achieve this daunting but achievable task.

Do not be deceived by our enemies who want their parties to take Lagos from us, they are nothing but mischief-makers. They are attempting to sow the seed of hate and rebellion to jeopardise our development train that has made Lagos the envy of all states in Africa. Their cheap mudslinging is nothing we can compare to our common interest and must understand this. Don’t let us start from the beginning again, considering the massive capital and human capacity development projects Governor Sanwo-Olu is pursuing in Lagos.

Please and please, let us take steps in the right direction and put sentiment aside, this is our own Lagos and we must not let things fall apart out of mere sentiment. Don’t let us toe the retrogressive path by taking steps backward. Doing so would cause our society backwardness and plunge us into serious commotion and nobody wantsr that. Ours must be forward looking, not looking back for the wrong reasons.

In the last election, the people of Ikorodu turned out en masse to vote for Honourable Jimi Benson and for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu by recording sixty thousand plus and fifty thousand plus votes for the two great minds respectively. The people’s action in the poll was a clear approval of the great works APC is doing in our society.

Our traditional rulers in Lagos have been giving support to the government and we have seen some of them devoted their time and resources to support our progressive government. His Royal Majesty, Oba Kabiru Shotobi, the paramount ruler of Ikorodu division, avowed to support the government for good reasons and he kept to his promise as he led other monarchs in the division to vote for the progressive APC government in the recent presidential poll in Ikorodu. The outcome was a clear indication of how the amiable monarch kept to his word.

However, the forthcoming governorship election is another critical endeavour that we all must play our parts. Like Oba Shotobi, other influential Obas in Lagos must mobilise their subjects and canvass voters for the re-election of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

We must endeavour to replicate this kind of support and extend the term of our active governor. Come March 11, 2023, we should all vote for Governor Sanwo-Olu for more dividends of democracy to be delivered to our people. Please and please, let us all come out en masse on March 11, 2023 to show the required support and perform our civic role in the prospect of good governance in Lagos State.
