…And Methodist church honours kabiyesi with Christmas carol

Kabiyesi and his wife, Kudirat Shotobi, had a busy time during the Christmas. As part of the activities slated to mark the festivity was an impressive Christmas carol organized in the palace by the Methodist church, Ikorodu, conducted by their leader, Omooba Soji Onafowokan Esq.

The two-hour event witnessed powerful prayers for Kabiyesi, Ikorodu town, Lagos and Nigeria as a whole. The carol, which was well-organised, did not have time for dilly-dallying as everything was done straight to the point. The kabiyesi in his address, in which he wished everybody merry Christmas, prayed for the Governor and asked Lagosians to support his administration’s programmes while promising that the on-going developmental strides spreading across the length and breadth of the state would be of immense benefit to the people.

After the event, gifts of various sizes were distributed to the church members and the choir, who performed wonderfully well with their songs and lyrics.

Others at the event were: Segun Osinneye, Chief Orgaist; Soji Onafowokan, Choirmaster/Director of Music; Rev. Paul Odeleye; Rev. O. Odekunle; Very Rev. M. O. Ogunsiji, Presbyter/Minister in-charge; Rt. Rev. S. O. Osundina, Bishop of Ikorodu Diocese.
