The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has appointed Prof. Olumuyiwa Omotola Odusanya as the substantive Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University of Science and Technology, Ikorodu.
The appointment takes effect from September 29, 2022.
Professor Odusanya is a professor of Public Health Care, Lagos State University and Consultant, Community Physician to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital.
Prof. Odusanya is a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Medicine, Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health and Community Medicine, National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria and a member of the New York Academy.
Prof. Odusanya has held positions of Head of Department, Dean of Faculty and Provost, Lagos State University College of Medicine and Director, Research Management and Innovation, Lagos state University.
He is a widely published scholar with over 115 papers in learned journals.
Professor Odusanya was of Community and Primary Health in the Department of Community Health and Primary Health Care in the Faculty of Clinical Sciences of the College of Medicine, Lagos State University (LASU).
