Inside Gbadamosi’s multi-million naira Art Gallery opened in March 2013

Art collection is regarded as an elitist past time. Only the classical citizens and people of high wealth and creativity delve into this investment.

Rasheed Gbadamosi is said to be one of such rare people. He is regarded as one of the three most outstanding art collectors in the country. He would not mind buying a painting or artwork for two or more million naira.

The gallery in his palace name after Yussuf Grillo is evidence of his appreciation of the arts.

Strategically located left of the entrance of the Gbadamosi’s mansion, it is situated on two floors-ground and top with a hollow (open) chamber in the  centre.

Various artworks and paintings and creative works are displayed on the walls of the gallery as seen in these photo pages, which attract visitors from all over the country and beyond especially during Easter festivities.

Only the deep can call to the deep. Only the likes of Bruce Onawekpaye, Wole Soyinka, Grillo etc understand the relevance of these works on display.
