Asisat Oshoala, Ikorodu born international female footballer sets up foundation …Sanwo-Olu promises support

Ikorodu born international female footballer, Asisat Oshoala, paid Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu courtesy visit in his official domicile. According to the Lagos State Governor who shared through his Facebook post, the female international footballer who hails from Ikorodu, visited the governor on Saturday September, 19, 2020. The governor’s post revealed that Asisat Oshoala used the opportunity to discuss her plans for the Asisat Oshoala Foundation.

The governor’s Facebook post reads: “Today, Asisat Oshoala paid me a courtesy visit. She is a worthy ambassador of Lagos from Ikorodu and we are proud of her. She spoke about her plans for the Asisat Oshoala Foundation and I promised to support her. We kicked the ball for a bit and I think I still have my skill,” the governor wrote on his Facebook page.

Along with the text, the governor posted seven panoramic pictures showing them on the lawn in his official place. The governor, Asisat and five other men were seen standing on the manicured lawn of his residence. In the first picture, Asisat whose hair was dyed yellow, wore branded black t-shirt and jean trousers, smiling next to the governor.

The second picture showed her signing on a ball for the governor while the following slide showed her presenting a jersey branded ‘Sanwo-Olu’ with the figures ’01’ boldly inscribed on its back.  

The most fascinating of all the pictures was the fourth where Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu was performing technical skill feat with the ball on the green lawn. The rest three pictures showed the governor and Asisat playing football on the lawn while others looked on.

The governor’s post on his Facebook page gathered over three hundred thousand likes, one hundred and six comments and fourty four shares within 48 hours it was posted.

Asisat Oshoala is an international female footballer from Ikorodu who plays for Barcelona Women FC in Spain. She is presently in Lagos to promote her foundation, the Asisat Oshoala Foundation.
