Youth Corper, Abe Oluwadara, empowers 20 youths for training programme

There are corpers and there are corpers. While some would just quietly pass through the training without making impact, others are focused and want to add value to the society during their one year training programme.
One of such corpers, who decided to make a difference and add value to the youths, who are today turning to rapists and cultists, is Miss Abe Opeyemi Oluwadara.
The youth corper from Bowen University and serving at Ikorodu decided to empower twenty youths by paying their registration fees for training of different kinds.
Miss Oluwadara, an indigene of Ikorodu, named her platform: “Hope for Ikorodu dream,” she said that the talk seminar, which took place at Funcity, Lagos Road, Ikorodu, was her own contribution to the development and progress of the community.
She explained that her determination to start the seminar was to empower the youths and provide them awards in order to encourage them. When asked about her criteria for selection, she said it was based on selection through balloting and the successful youths were given one thousand five hundred naira (N1,500) each for registration, amounting to thirty thousand naira (N30,000) for the twenty people.

When asked about how she raised the money, she said that her appreciation would go to the following people, PZ, Cadbury Plc, Jimi Benson, CEO Funcity, Tom Tomple, Power Oil, Oriwu Sun Newspaper, Gala Plc and other individuals for their supports and encouragement.
