Those who deserve political appointment from Ikorodu

The 2019 general elections have come and gone. As in the National Assembly, where the race for the topmost offices of the two houses are heating up while serious lobbying is going on at the Executive level of the Presidency, so are expectations rising at the State levels in Lagos on possible candidates for appointments as Commissioners, Special Advisers, etc.
Ikorodu is not left out in this race as many political players, watchers and analysts speculate on most likely people, who deserve top positions from Ikorodu division. The under listed indigenes of the division who played active roles in the repeated success/victories of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, need to be highlighted.
They are those who made possible for Ikorodu to clinch the second position in the just concluded elections in the State, turning in the second highest number of votes in the state among the five divisions.
Many of these people invested money into the APC and followed up with the leg work, campaigns strategies and all the aspects of politicking, hence; they are boldly demanding for more Commissioner slots and other high political appointments for Ikorodu indigenes.
They believe that by the electoral returns, Ikorodu division now deserves more than the traditional two Commissioners slot it had enjoyed in the past.
Oriwu Sun conducted serious investigation among the deserving group and came up with these names which are outstanding and merit such appointments.
They include Alhaji Gafar Bolowotan, who spent fortunes and worked so hard for APC’s victory.
Hon. Tijani (T.J), whose name has severally been mentioned and recommended few years back to the power brokers for such appointments but has not been itemized. Yet, he remains loyal to the party and the people and kept working hard for the party and investing his resources.
Another deserving candidate is Lekan Ijelu, a lawyer, who put in hard work, his brains, his money and his strength in working for APC’s success many times.
The next person is Hon. Saheed Ibikunle, the faithful politician behind Abike Dabiri and the APC in general.
Though, he was given membership of the Governing Council of Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH), he is considered a highly qualified candidate for higher political appointment.
Hon. Adeola Jokomba, ex-Chairman, Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has consistently worked himself up. The ladder for the success of APC in the division and deserves a higher appointment at the state level.
What about Mayor Adebayo Ajisebutu, former Chairman, Surulere Local Government, who worked with the campaign manager of Sanwo-Olu in the 2019 general elections. The vocal, vibrant and brilliant young man is a top flier in politics taking after his late father. He deserves a top notch appointment,
Ikorodu believe that because the division has lost the request Oba Shotobi made to power brokers for the Secretary to the State Government position to come from Ikorodu, the division deserves more than two commissioners in this new dispensation and other strategic positions to compensate for its outstanding delivery at the recent polls.
Another brilliant young man who many people believe should be given a political appointment in this new dispensation is Hon. Olusesan Daini, a graduate of the University of Lagos and the incumbent Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
The energetic council boss worked vigorously during the electioneering campaign to ensure the emergence of Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu as Governor of Lagos State. He is believe to be intelligent enough to hold a political post.
Though, he may be a sitting council chairman, he definitely deserves more than that and it will amount to disservice if he is not considered for any appointment, particularly when one consider his contribution as a key member of Governor Sanwo-Olu’s campaign team.
As the head of Publicity committee of the campaign team, Daini was always on the road to ensure that the publicity stunts of Governor Sanwo-Olu were well placed and attained wider reach and acceptance.
No doubt, Daini is a young man with a brighter future considering his impressive performance as chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA coupled with his brilliant contribution to the emergence of Governor Sanwo-Olu and his appointment would certainly makes him one of the political appointees to look out for under Governor Sanwo-Olu’s
