Suspected cultist lynch gay partners caught in hotel

It is unbelievable, but true that African men are now turning into love partners against the natural rule of man befriending or marrying a woman. This was the case a few days ago when two males were caught in an hotel in Igbogbo, Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria.
The two guys, Stephen Ekundayo and Emmanuel Ojo, both young males in their mid-20s, were caught together in a room at Maras Hotel, a popular hotel in Igbogbo, on Sunday, November 5, 2023.
Their assailants, who were alleged cult members, we reliably gathered, were at the hotel on another mission. It was gathered that the duo were seriously beaten by the cultists, when caught engaging in an unholy act which is alien to African society.
Unfortunately, the beating, we gathered, led to the death of Ekundayo, a few days later.
Their predicament started when some men suspected to be members of the notorious cult group, Axe Confraternity, stormed the hotel on a mission to attack another man who allegedly brought the wife of one of their members to the place.
According to sources, the invaders had stormed the hotel on the tip that the alleged cheating wife was there with another man.
They were reported to have stormed the hotel shooting their ways in and afterwards, ransacked the hotel, moving from one room to another in search of the cheating wife and the man he was with.
It was during the frantic search that the invaders pulled down the door to the room where Ekundayo and Emmanuel were lodged, and were caught pants down making love.
Sources at the hotel said that the gay partners were dragged out naked and beaten black and blue with dangerous weapons by the cultists.
However, Emmanuel was said to have ran away, leaving behind Ekundayo who received the beating of his life.
When our reporter visited the hotel, it was badly damaged. We gathered that police later came to the scene on the invitation of the management, but the deed had already been done before their arrival.
Attempts to speak with the hotel manager who was identified as Mr. Taiwo Adigun, proved abortive as we gathered that he was also recuperating from the attack unleashed on him, while trying to prevent the incursion of the invaders.
Meanwhile, a chieftain of the Hoteliers Association in Ikorodu, under which Igbogbo exists, who did not disclose his name, confirmed the incident. He said that they are going to take the matter up in support of one of their chieftains that owns the invaded hotel.
He, however, said that the hotel staff that lodged the two male customers breached the rules by allowing them into one room.
“Yeah, the matter has been brought to our attention. It is rather an unfortunate one, because we cannot allow such to go without severe punishment for the invaders,” he said.
“Whatever it is, they cannot say that the woman was kidnapped or forced into the hotel, and they should have waited for her at home or reported the matter to the police, instead of taking the law into their own hands by invading the hotel and causing severe damages.”
“But as a matter of fact, we will also have to address the issue of lodging two guys into a room by the hotel staff. It is against our rules to do that, but we will take proper action on that when the time comes.
“Let us allow the police to do their job,” he said.
As at the time of filing this report, the owner of the hotel and the manager were not available for comment, while officers at the Ikorodu Divisional Police Headquarters along Oba Molaja/Igbogbo road, Ikorodu turned down our reporter’s enquiry about the incidents.
