Last February 10, 2018, the new Ologijo of Ogijo, HRH Oba Kazeem Gbadamosi, marked one year anniversary on the throne. The Oba who came all the way from London, was officially given the staff of office by the Ogun State government.
The new Oba is the son of the retired permanent secretary in the Lagos State government, Otunba Lamidi Gbadamosi, who had played significant role in the development of Ikorodu town. Otunba Gbadamosi, a high Chief in Ikorodu town, and also a Baale in Ikorodu town, made impact at the one year anniversary event by bringing his friends, not only from Oriwu Club but from outside, to honour Oba Kazeem Gbadamosi.
The high point of the day was the fund-raising for the new palace, which runs into millions of naira. Earlier, the one week programme ended with chieftaincy titles given not only to indigenes of the town but outsiders.
