One of the renowned Professor of Medicine in Nigeria, Professor Bolaji Akinsanya, is dead. Professor Akinsanya, who had been a Consultant Physician to many prominent Nigerians, including Presidents, Governors and some wealthy individuals, was also acclaimed internationally.
He died on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the age of eighty four (84). An erudite Scholar, Medical Surgeon of Anatomy and Physiology, and one time Consultant Physician at LUTH, Idi-Araba, he left a legacy for medical institutions across the country.
He is survived by retired Justice Dolapo Akinsanya, a brilliant Judge, who gave a band mark judgement pronouncing the illegality and nullification of the interim government of Chief Ernest Shoneken. He is also survived by children, grandchildren and relatives.
Family sources told Oriwu Sun that burial arrangement would be announced soon.
