Following the publication of a story titled, ”Olubeshe of Ibeshe, Oba Richard Ogunsanya, now a First Class Oba” on page 7 of our July, 2017 edition, where we reported that
it was not certain if HRM Oba Semiudeen Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo and HRM Oba Fatai Ajibade Agoro, Ranodu of Imota, were affected by the recent first class ranking of Obas In Ikorodu division, the attendant reactions from some quarters against the report convinced us that it was an oversight.
We have since confirmed from an authoritative source that the trio of Oba Agoro, Oba Kasali and Alajede of Ijede (which is currently vacant) are first class Obas and that the three revered monarchs, alongside Ayangbure of Ikorodu, had attained the prestigious status long before the Obateru of Egbin and Olubeshe of Ibeshe.
