Beginning from January 2022, party politics will commence in full force across Nigeria. The new year would be marked with intense political events, serving as a preamble to the 2023 electoral year. Like many other parties in the country, the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, in Ikorodu is mobilizing people and making attempt to attract followers in the division.
Some close sources to Oriwu Sun said that from early next year, they would intensify publicity across the division. Under the able leadership of Engr. Ahmid Kunle Odunborisha, the incumbent president of the Oriwu Club and a distinguished environmentalist, things are spicing up for the local branch of the PDP.
Under his leadership, members of the PDP in Ikorodu organised a befitting get-together at the Ikorodu town hall in the just concluded 2021 Ikorodu Ogar Day. Eminent members of the opposition party stormed the Ikorodu town hall to celebrate their party. The get-together event lasted from 4pm till late at night, with lots of music and refreshment to complement the day.
From what happened on that day, there is no doubt that PDP in Ikorodu is not only ready to comeback in a big way but they are also prepared to win the coming elections.
