We are grateful for his achievements so far. I also want to implore the Oba to ensure that Ikorodu maintains its giant strides towards development. And moreover, he should cooperate with the state government to ensure that more security forces are put on ground in Ikorodu.”
OBA’S REIGN IS PEACFUL
LUKMON ADEMOLA, (Transporter and Member of National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW): “I feel happy that his reign has been peaceful, which has brought prosperity to the land. Before he became the king, he has always been known to be a nice person. He helps everyone including the less privileged by rendering services to them.
Now that he is a king, he has also done much in the area of economic and security matters. I want him to empower the youths in order to stem the rates of crime in the society.
I also want him to cater for the non-indigenes in the town. We should be treated fairly. Concerning land-grabbers, he should try to checkmate them because they have been preventing the builders from doing their job. I pray that he should live long on the throne.”
HE’S ACCOMMODATING
DELE OLADUNJOYE, (Transporter in Ayangbure Taxi Park): “The Oba has really tried in initiating the progress of this great town, especially in accommodating non indigenes in Ikorodu. He is a supportive person, who wants greatness for all and sundry. He has also tried like his predecessor but we need to give him more time to perform.
We also want him to tackled cultism by empowering ‘ONYABO’ because they are the main security outfit in the town. They should be made to work hand-in-hand with the police and other security outfits.”
HE’S WONDERFUL
MRS. BOLA JUNAID, (TEXTILE DEALER):
“He has really done a wonderful work by developing Ikorodu town. In the area of security, he has also done well for us in the market as we now experience peace unlike before.
We want him to do more by empowering ‘Onyabo’ to ensure that peace reigns.”
HE SHOULD SET-UP SECURITY COMMITTEE
MRS. USMAN TEMITOPE, (JEWELRIES SELLER): “I really appreciate what the Kabiyesi has done so far since he ascended the throne of his forefathers. He should do more in collaborating with the state government to ensure that the town continue to enjoy more dividends of democracy through developmental projects.
Talking about security, he should empower ‘Onyabo’ and other security forces. He should also set up a security committee for the sake of gathering information on how policies implemented were attained.
We, the market women are also happy about the Oba’s policy in the market, which has brought peace between the traders and Iyaloja.”
COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES ARE BOOMING
MRS JUBRIL FOLUKE, (Business Woman): “The Kabiyesi has tried in his quest to ensure that Ikorodu is a peaceful place to live in. He should provide more security in Ikorodu and screen the Onyabo group because there are thugs and ill-mannered individuals among them.
Kabiyesi has also tried in the area of economy of the town because the commercial activities are booming unlike before. Concerning health, he has tried by making sure that there is proper sanitation in the market.”

Kabiyesi has time for his people and listens to them to understand their feelings. He accommodates people who walk down to the palace to give their opinions.
My expectation is that he should continue with his good deeds. I got my shop at the rate of N1.5million but the people who are buying the shops now are getting it at a lesser price all because of the Oba’s intervention. I urge him to continue with his good deeds.”
THANK YOU SIR FOR PEACE IN IKORODU
MRS. TINUOLA HASSAN: “Oba shotobi should speak to the government on our behalf not to destroy Sabo Market. He should support us because we were the ones who built the shops and they are not up to six years. The better life market should also not be destroyed. The shops that were built in the complex are too expensive for us to afford.
We thank the Kabiyesi that there is peace in Ikorodu.”
HE’S A NICE MAN

Some people agreed on paying three hundred thousand naira (N300,000) but some did not agree. When we went back to him, he asked us to get the contractor that will solve the problem. He should help us to renovate the market because we don’t have where to dump our refuse”.
HE’S A GOOD LISTENER

WE ARE SATISFIED WITH WHAT HE HAS DONE SO FAR
MR. KUNLE KOMOLAFE, (Trader): “He has done series of things and we are satisfied with what he has done so far.
And such things make us realize that he cares very much for us. We pray that God would continue to help and uplift him. We want him to intervene and reduce the price of shops at Sabo market and tackle the thugs who are disturbing the traders.”
HE’S DOING WHAT WE WANTED
MRS. OYE APATA, (Trader): “We are satisfied with his achievements so far and he is just doing the things that we wanted. The Iyaloja is also trying her best to solve the issue we brought to her.

He has done a lot in Ikorodu since his ascension to the throne. His reign has been a peaceful one and he is such a person who doesn’t force his decision on people.
Among his achievements include the upgrading of some Baales which have stayed for long without being approved. We pray that we should do more to effect the approval of the remaining Baales. long live the king!”

He should look into the present problem in Ikorodu, which is cultism. Although, he is trying but he should put more efforts into it. Again, he has to do something about traffic congestion in Ikorodu.”
HE’S CARRYING IKORODU TO THE NEXT LEVEL
ADEBAYO NINALOWO, (Professor of Sociology, UNILAG and Chairman Governing Council, LASU): “His reign has been peaceful and he has been very passionate about Ikorodu division as a whole. He has even gone out of his way to look for facilitators of development for Ikorodu division by going to the United States at his own instance.
The Oba has organized about three dinner get together to brief us about what he has done. I see Kabiyesi as being able to maintain the momentum in order to carry Ikorodu to the next level.”

Within the last few months on the throne, he has discharged the duties of His Royal Majesty in an excellent way and he deserves to be commended.
He has performed beyond imagination and this is because he quite understands what the Royal Fathers do effectively and responsibly. Kabiyesi should rally round Ikorodu residents to tackle the issue of cultism. May Almighty Allah continue to guide him to do more.”
HIS REIGN IS SPECTACULAR

He should endeavour to bring everybody together for the progress of the town and Lagos State in general.
