Traditional institution moves to Oriwu Central Mosque, Ikorodu, Oba Shotobi and is chiefs on Friday, August 3, 2018 participated in Jumat service and thanksgiving to celebrate the third year coronation Anniversary.
The Chief Imam of the mosque, His Eminence, Sheikh Yahya Oshoala (Samadaani) in his sermon admonished Islamic faithful and all leaders in the country to shun partiality by treating everyone equitably. He congratulated the people of Ikorodu for having a worthy son of the soil who already knew Ikorodu very well as a chief who had worked with the late Oba Salaudeen Oyefusi.
According to him, due to his love and passion to align Ikorodu with other developed cities in the world, he championed the construction of the new palace extension for Ikorodu and it was due for commissioning within three years of his reign. He said the development was commendable and laudable. He asked why Oriwu Central Mosque had not been completed after thirty years.
Samadani, therefore appealed to the Oba to assist them in ensuring that the mosque is completed duly. He said that late Oba Oyefusi’s immense support for the mosque could not be emphasized.
In a brief remarks, Oba Shotobi commended the Chief Imam, other Islamic leaders of the mosque and all Jamats for serving Allah and developing His place of worship. He specially thanked them for publishing an interview they had with him and the new palace extension in a big diary, copies of which were distributed at the Jumat service.
The Monarch urged all Islamic Faithful to be peaceful in all their dealings continue to pray for the progress of Ikorodu Kingdom and its environs. He assured them of his supports always and donated two hundred and fifty thousand Naira (N250,000) before leaving the mosque.
