His Royal Majesty Oba Kabir Shotobi on January 1, 2019 performed one of his New Year duties to his kingdom as he visited Ikorodu general hospital the most outstanding medical initiation in his domain to felicitate with the medical authorities and the families who produced the first babies of the New Year.
It is usually an emotive function where he plays the role of a good father supported by his wife who stands out as the mother of the kingdom.
The first baby of the year recorded here is a girl weighing 3.5 kilogram born exactly at 12midnight to the family of Amusa.
Usually accompanied by his queen and some other dignitaries, the kabiyesi donated some important items to the babies saying that it was a sustenance of the tradition of the royal family source he came on board to visit the hospital and appreciate God on behalf of these families involved and the hospital staff who helped in the delivery process.
He said the betterment of the life of these children born is one of the core values of this royal visit.
The Medical Director of the Hospital, Dr. (Mrs.)………….. thanked Oba Shotobi for his kind gesture and promised that the beneficiaries of the donation will use the items judiciously. He promised that the hospital will continue to render quality services to the public and appreciated those who came with the kabiyesi to perform this important duty.
