Monzor House wins trophy at Ayangbure sports day

The Oriwu Sun House of the Ayangbure Junior High School, came 1st runner up at the just concluded end of the year inter-house sports. The school games which took place in November 28th, 2019 witnessed an annual tournament between four houses; the Oba House (Green colour), Olatunji House (Orange colour), Afolabi House (Yellow colour) and the Oriwu Sun House (Blue colour).

The four houses are compete for the first position in various sports including football, 4 by 4 shuttle relay race, lime and spoon, table tennis, Ludo, scrabbles, and dance competition.  While the Oba house (Green colour) came overall first, the Oriwu Sun House emerged the 1st runner up by winning first position in mini-marathon, 4 by 4, lime and spoon and table tennis. This year was much improved record for the Oriwu Sun House who came 3rd position in the 2018 annual games. It is hoped that this leap in their success will be maintained in 2020 to clinch the overall first position.

Chado Veronica and Assistant Captain Master Adekola Khaleed to present their trophy to the Publisher of Oriwu Sun newspaper on December 2, 2019.

Chief Monzor was pleased by their performance and urged them to bring home the first position next year.
