The Lions Club on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, extended free medical care to Ikorodu residents in commemoration of the third year anniversary of Oba Shotobi. The event which was organized by the Metropolitan Lion club, District 404 A-1, took place at the Ayangbure palace.
During the event, Oba Shotobi and his wife, Alhaja Kudirat Shotobi joined the subjects to check their health status and get prescribed drugs free. Some of the beneficiaries were also referred to General Hospital, Ikorodu and Ajayi Medical Central due to their clinical conditions.
In a brief interview with the Press, Oba Shotobi commended the Lion’s Club International for supporting the people of Ikorodu. According to the former DG Lions International, Dr. Ayo Ajayi and the Regional chairman of the Lions Club, Lion Olatunde Okusanya, who led them to the event, everybody needs to be sure of is or her health status in order to avoid dreaded medical conditions. He said that medical, check-up brings about early detection and adequate response.
Beneficiaries of the health facilities expressed appreciation to the Lion club international and to Oba Shotobi for organizing the programme.
