The new Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Mr. Edgal Imohimi, has vowed to see the main sponsor of Badoo cult in Ikorodu and the owner of Agbowa shrine, Alhaji Alaka Abayomi behind bars when the investigations of the case are concluded.
While speaking during the Town Hall meeting on security at Ikorodu on September 7, 2017, he disclosed to the gathering that forensic investigation was on-going on the criminal activities of the shrine. According to him, it was a matter of time for the actualization of his determination to send the Badoo sponsor to jail.
The Police Boss also revealed that he uncovered the shrine in the company of journalists to prevent his superiors in the force and other eminent persons interested in the case from shielding the shrine from public knowledge.
In further revelation, the Commissioner stated that people have been approaching him with money in order to drop the case, but he said, “If the people approaching me knew my background, they wouldn’t dare such.”
He, however, warned that anybody or group of persons found culpable of erecting shrines to perpetrate evil or criminal activities in the division shall be fished out.
