GOVERNOR AMBODE’S INTERACTIVE SESSION WITH LAGOSIANS.

WHAT THE PEOPLE ARE SAYING:

MR MUSLIU

I am happy with the projects you embarked upon so far. But I am appealing to him that the general hospital project at Ogongon, Eti -Osa should be speeded up because that is the only General hospital we have.

YUSUF ADESHOLA ESHINLOKUN

I would like our governor to build an institution for us at Eti -Osa LGA like the polytechnic, college of Education or university.

MR HALIRU OLUMIDE IDRIS

I would like our governor to help us reconstruct ibeju to lekki road because it has caused a lot of accidents. We appeal to him also to deal with the problem with the problem of erosion at Lekki and Ibeju axis.

MRS SANNI GANIAT (FROM LAGOS ISLAND).

I want to plead for the assistance of the present government. I bought a land ten years ago but I have been denied access to it. I reported the case to the former Governor Fashola but nothing was done.

MRS ABIODUN DIWA (LIVES IN BADORE).

I have been at the cooperative area of Badore since 1997 and our road has been so bad. We also reported it to Tinubu but it was Fashola that did some repair on the road but it is still bad. The road has become a death trap and we want the present government to come to our help.

ALHAJI IDRIS IDOWU ARIYO, CHAIRMAN CDA; ALAGOMEJI, OGUNBIRIKE.

I want the government to come to our rescue and construct our roads because none of our bad roads was included in the last 150 roads constructed in Lagos state. All our roads at Alagomeji are very bad and a canal at tukunbo is always filled with water and causes erosion.

MRS. OMOLOLA OSHINLOKUN (FROM IBEJU LEKKI).

I am here to say thank you to our Governor for the completion of six projects in Ibeju Lekki. On behalf of Community Association, and other CDAs, I am saying thank you very much.

ALHAJI MUNIRU ABU AYINLA

I want to thank the Governor for all he has done. I also want to plead with the government to assist some towns that are suffering. Such towns include, Alabuton, Ogongo, Araromi, Ikoyi, Abule – Odo. They have bad roads and they don’t have light.

  1. SODIQ ANIFOWOSE SALAUDEEN

At sangotedo we do not have good roads, water and electricity. I am pleading with the Governor to help us look into issues.

Oba Adeoriyomi AbdulAzeez, Obateru of Egbin.

I want the governor to commission our jetty because it is important to every one of us at Ijede and also the one at Ikorodu. Our road networks are very bad and we want the government to do something about it.

Oba Ikate

Our chairman did not inform us of any development in surulere. We only see the development on the screen but we have not seen any visible signs of development except during BRF administration.

Oba AbdulRafiu Isola, Elejirin of Ejirin

We want the governor to come to our aid and repair the market, which foreigners constructed in 1950 to 1954. It will bring a lot of revenue to the government. It also want the government to build more infrastructures at Eso village

Governor Ambode’s response

Thanks you very much, he promised to light up the communities. We have done it in badagry and some parts that did not have light we were able to put them on the national grid and they have light now.

Alhaji Ayinde, you called about the resettlement town and I will look at it was make sure I give positive respone. The coastal road you talked about is on our drawing list. That need is supposed to take us from Victoria Island to Ibeju lekki about 62 kilometre.

Mr Sodiq from Sangotede, said no roads but I do not think   it is true because we might not have gone round the axis but we have started work there and we are also looking at our resources. I will continue to appeal to Lagosians to pay their taxes.

We want to thank God that after two years of being government, we have done a lot for Surulere. The Oba said we have not done anything but I want to say that we were the ones that reconstructed Brown Street and Ademola Street and so many other things like the health centre we built.

Mr Ali, I have listed all that you have said. All the schools that you have mentioned, we will go their immediately and work on them. We plan to do roads every year and this takes ease of the issues of roads. And we are targeting about four thousand roads done by 2019.

Comrade Olamilekan, I have spoken to the deputy Governor and we will look at that. We are planning to get machine that will do one kilometre …………. Road in a day. Omolola Eshnilokim, thank you very much, he promised to light up the communities. We have done it in Badagry and some parts that did not have light we were able to put them on the national grid and they have light now.
