An evening of classical music and familiarity with the Governor…An evening of classical music and familiarity with the Governor…

The atmosphere was electrifying. About Eight (8) superstar musicians were on stage to entertain the guests.

A high dosage of fun was in the waiting. Guests had five hours of dance, little talk; ate as much as they could, and drank as much but remained calm. These were the orders and coded (unwritten) law.

Ambode was to thank Lagosians through this event. He was to let them in on some of the achievements he made this year with his team and his plans for next year. In all of these, the primary aim was to give hardworking Lagosians the opportunity to unwind, dance freely, throw banters and give one another a pat on the back for achieving  a state that has defied the recession to continue to excel. Isn’t that wonderful? Everyone was in a hilarious mood. The air around them is intoxicating. The joy was turbo charged.

They are the prime movers and shakers of Lagos State. They drive the megacity and pilot it to its present height of excellence.

They were called by their Governor, a socialite, a brilliant scholar, a consummate strategist and enigmatic economist/accountant.

They assembled at the State House Alausa on Sunday December 18, 2016 for a pre-Christmas party. It was a dinner of about five hundred (500) special guests, eminent Lagosians, high profile Nigerians from all works of life including diplomats and eminent Lagosians as shown in these photos.

Representatives of the most powerful, the most influential, the most brilliant, the richest, the movers and shakers of the state, the middle and lower classes, drivers of the economy of the state and foreign diplomats, all gathered at the State House on Sunday December, 18, 2016 to be hosted by Governor Ambode in a dinner to herald the yuletide.

These faces, all full of smiles, relaxed and free from the usual seriousness at their places of work, portray the mind of Lagosians at Alausa that nite as 500 of the best in the state gathered to wine, dine and dance.

Male and female, old and young; they all shared one purpose – the joy of the season, the excitement of belonging to a state that has maintained excellence despite the recession, and the company of a Governor, who knows what he is doing and leading his people to greater heights.

From the media, the civil service, the public sector, the industries, the legislature, judiciary, political parties, the communities, and even foreigners, all came with the spirit of fun, love, togetherness and progress.

In twos, threes, fours, fives and groups, our camera kept shooting to capture the noble faces, beautiful people, eminent Lagosians, power brokers and influential Nigerians as they relaxed, ate, drank and performed excellently on the dance floor. Can you beat them?
