Do you have genuine urge to succeed (G.U.T.S)?

The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential… These are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.” – Confucius

To succeed or not to succeed in life is a choice that has to be made by anybody that desires it. Desire is a genuine and sincere longing, hunger and taste for some to become readily available to you, for your possession and usage at will. The starting point of all achievements in life is desire. It is desire that fuels one’s effort to achieve success.

Having a genuine urge to succeed in life or business is not a trait that you are either born with or not. It is something that is usually nurtured and developed. People with G.U.T.S are extraordinarily motivated. They are driven to go above and beyond; they are trusted by others, focused and have great confidence in their own abilities. They dream of endless possibilities, and tend to be extremely satisfied with their lives.

The question now is, do you really have G.U.T.S? Do you have the DNA of an entrepreneur?

Fear, uncertainty and self-doubt are all raw feelings people experience when they consider the idea of starting their own business. It’s scary. No doubt about that. Entrepreneurs of all ages and with various levels of experience face internal questioning when taking on a new endeavor as they bring their own unique idea out of their head and into reality. As an entrepreneur, there is added pressure to be successful not only because of the employees, partners and investors relying on you, but mostly because you are proving to yourself, your family and your friends that your idea is worthy and you have the initiative to make it happen.

An entrepreneur is an initiator, a challenger and a driver. Someone that creates something new, either an initiative, a business or a company. Not everyone is prepared to be a successful entrepreneur, because to become a successful entrepreneur, you need to have a genuine urge to succeed and a lot of bravery. Remember – Nobody owes you anything in business – it is up to you to earn it.

There are certain characteristics that makes them stand out. The first thing about entrepreneurs is that they are self-starters, they absolutely motivate themselves. If entrepreneurs understand one thing, they understand there is great value to being in front and beginning early. In fact I would say to you, that starting early is essential to an entrepreneur’s success. Start fast, think fast, change fast, fix fast. Entrepreneurs are motivated by where they are going, what they see, what they are trying to accomplish.

Entrepreneurs look around and they visualize what could happen if they seize that opportunity. Therefore, to be successful, you need to do more than just seeing the opportunity, you have to actualize it, you have to seize the opportunity; you must take action. In other words, entrepreneurs are what I call “make it happen people.”

Entrepreneurs also have a strong desire to win. They like it so much that every day, they pursue it. Being successful, being on top, being number one. It’s not in their DNA to want to wait around and hope that something good will happen. They are not waiting for someone else to make their day, they want to go out and make their own day. They don’t accept their life, they lead their life.

Another characteristic of an entrepreneur that they love problems. They live for problems, they learn from problems and they get leverage from problem. Entrepreneurs will not allow discouragement to get the best of them. They press on in spite of difficulty. They value opportunity more than security. They stay creative when others quit. And finally, they make consistency their middle name.

Today I challenge you to take a risk, reposition yourself, stay focused, keep your dreams alive, do not procrastinate, make a decision today and take a step towards your goal.

Take action now… for the world is waiting to cheer your success!
