In his words, “after our interrogation, and investigation, we were able to know the names of the two guys mentioned in the assignment and we are expecting to apprehend the real guy who shot the innocent man (NERO). And I know that by the grace of God, we will get him very soon,” he stated.
The Commander of ONYABO also appealed to Kabiyesi, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi to help them get back their gun licences stating that having their guns would help them checkmate the spate of brutal killings being unleashed on the citizens by these cultists, the said such a move would also ensure that there is peace in the community.
While also speaking with Oriwu Sun, Miss Shonibare Oyemade, the sister of the victim, who threw more light on her late brother’s credentials said that he was married and had three children of which two were begotten in wedlock and one out of wedlock.

“So, I saw no reason for killing him on the spot. According to information reaching me, he was not the main target of those guys. It was learnt that he was sitting at the usual seat of the targeted cultist and unfortunately, it was very dark around the time they came for the operation and they mistakenly shot him, believing that the cultist guy had been shot.
“I am appealing to the King to plead with the General Hospital Management, Ikorodu to release the corpse. We have done all the necessary things but they have not released the corpse. I pray that God will reward those that killed my brother according to their deeds,” she said.
Meanwhile, the Oba Shotobi has called on the Nigeria police force officers to brace up to combat crimes effectively in Ikorodu to reduce the spate of brutal killings.
Besides, the king warned that on no account should the cultists be released to their families until the judicial process has been concluded. According to him after they have been released without due process from the government, they would come out and continue with their nefarious activities.
