mosque1  In our January 2016 edition, we published the story of a multi-million naira mosque built and donated by Alhaji (Chief) Sikiru Ibuowo Ogunleye for NASFAT.

On Sunday, January 24, 2016, the modern place of worship was officially commissioned jointly by the Chief Missioner of NASFAT, Alhaji Akinbode, the Chief Imams of Ikorodu Central Mosque and Oriwu Central Mosque as well as the Olisa of Ikorodu, who represented the Kabiyesi.

The dignitaries, who graced the event, prayed fervently for the success and growth of NASFAT in Ikorodu and worldwide.

A suggestion by Chief Imam of Ikorodu Central Mosque that the new NASFAT mosque should not hold Friday Jumat services because of an existing central mosque in Agbele near Ota-Ona, where residents of the entire area worship, was rejected by NASFAT members, who reminded the Chief Imam that NASFAT exists as a separate group from the main stream mosques; hence, they will conduct their own Jumat services in the new mosque on Fridays.

mosque3After the prayers, the audience proceeded to the venue of the grand reception, where the Chief Missioner, NASFAT worldwide, Alhaji Akinbode delivered a thought provoking lecture and thanked the donor of the mosque, Alhaj Ibuowo and his family for their kind gesture.

Some prominent people were honoured with chieftaincy title on that occasion by the mosque. Among them were brother and sister of Alhaji Ibuowo. Below are some of the photographs taken at the event.
