The former Coordinator of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Watch Corps, Alhaji Muslim Kolawole Sanni, is dead. He was 84-year-old.
He died at about 2pm on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, and was buried the following day according to lslamic rites at his Ojogbe road residence in Ikorodu.
His death said to have been announced by his son, Ibrahim Sanni, who is the Coordinator of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps, Ikorodu division.
Until his death, Alhaji Sanni was the National President of Shams-el-deen Society of Nigeria and member of the Apex body of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikorodu.
A crowd of sympathisers had trooped to his house as soon as the news of his death filtered in to commiserate with his family and pay their last respect to the man who many described as a peace loving and kind hearted man.
Under Alhaji Sanni’s leadership, the Lagos State Neighbourhood Watch Corps witnessed a massive turnaround courtesy of the support of the then Governor of the State, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, and played a vital role in complementing the efforts of the police and other security agencies in ensuring that every part of the State, particularly the neighbourhood, are safe from criminal activities.
