As the Brigadier Commander N.M. Jega a Brigade Nigerian Army was leaving the Ayangbure palace on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, the head of the Mobile Police Force in Igbogbo, Assistant Commissioner of Police …………………. , stepped into the palace with his own contingent of officers and men.
In a similar convoy as the Brigade Commander, the Mopol Chief came to pay a courtesy visit to Oba Kabiru Shotobi, Ayangbure of Ikorodu.
Like the Brigade Commander’s visit, the Mopol team led by ACP Dandabo Idi was ushered into the Oba’s presence by Otunba Ayodele Elesho, who anchored the late afternoon programmes. He invited the Police Commander 63 Mobile Police Force Squadron to state his mission.
After introducing his team, the Mobile Police Chief told the Kabiyesi, he had come to solicit his support and the cooperation of his community in the discharge of their security duties.
The Kabiyesi, who similarly introduced his Chiefs and welcomed the Police Officer, implored him to work hand in hand with Onyabo, Vigilante Group and other security agencies to make Ikorodu free from cultists and criminals.
He told the Mopol Commander to do everything in his power to stem the tide of criminal activities in this area, promising the usual cooperation of the palace to all genuine security agencies operating in this division.
As in the previous visit, the Oba went into another round of close door meeting with the Mobile Police Commander and when they came out, there was a photo session to mark the visit.
