The wealthy Ogbomosho man, Alaka, who was on the eye of the storm over the Badoo mayhem of 2016/2017, is said to be running helter skelter, lobbying to come back to Ikorodu, where he is being hunted.
Sources told Oriwu Sun that at the peak of the Badoo crisis, Alaka, whose real names are Abayomi Alaka, insulted the former Deputy Commissioner of Police (now Acting CP of Lagos State), Mr. Edgar Imohinmi, calling the top Police Officer a mentally sick person, who should be sent to ‘Aro’, a psychiatric home in Ogun State. The wealthy man, who was accused of being a Badoo sponsor and godfather, fled Ikorodu and began to shuttle between his home town Ogbomosho and Lagos State.
Now, he is said to be lobbying powerful traditional chiefs in Ikorodu and other influential persons to get a soft landing that would enable him return fully to Ikorodu, where he has a vast estate. However, the new Acting Commissioner of Police, a no-nonsense man, has promised Ikorodu residents that Alaka would be prosecuted and brought to justice. He vowed to take necessary steps, not only to deal with the man, but also with the Badoo phenomenon.
Only few weeks ago, the new CP, accompanied by a powerful convoy, descended on five shrines in Agbowa area of Ikorodu and Epe axis and demolished them. Some of the shrines were alleged to belong to Alaka. The residents of that area have applauded the action of the new Lagos
