Her name sounds big and familiar in Ikorodu and Lagos State, especially in social, business and religious circles, where she has played outstanding roles and made great impacts. Alhaja Idiat Sanda Amori is a woman of substance, an amiable socialite and a business tycoon. She is pretty, rich, pleasant and well-connected in the society. She has worked hard for many years to earn fortunes and knows how best to enjoy her wealth and time.
When you see her in any occasion, whether she is in native or English attires, she is a beauty to behold, the type a virile man must look at twice in admiration. She radiates charm, colour and glamour everywhere she goes because of her kind, cheerful and friendly dispositions. There is no doubt that she has special and reputable fashion designers, who create marvelous outfits for her outings.
Last December 30, 2018, when she turned 60, she rocked the entire Lagos and Ikorodu, and the vibrations went round Lagos State. Looking 50, she made her birthday party one that dazzled her rivals. When such a personality sends out invitations, the high and mighty do not hesitate to honour such. His Majesty, Oba Kabir Shotobi, led other Obas in the division and high chiefs from across the State as well as other dignitaries to this lady’s birthday venue. Some traditional rulers came from as far as Ekiti state to honour the event.
As early as 2p.m on that day, the …………………., the event center venue of the party had been filled up with the ‘who is who’ in Ikorodu and Lagos State. The decorations were stupendously affluent in nature, with flowers adorning the table, lawns and pathways created artificially as if it was a replica of the biblical Garden of Eden. The lighting was both exotic and majestic in quality, brightness and arrangement. The hall was in a splendid shape to create not only a royal atmosphere but an environmental delight.
The celebrator herself was on top of the situation. Idiat was full of infectious smiles. She is a music lover and admires Wasiu Ayinde’s fuji music. No wonder this artiste was there live to rock the party with his best hits. Her children, some of whom came from London, were around to celebrate their mother. Alhaja Idiat is a lucky mother, having trained all her children to be graduates in various disciplines, including Mass Communication. All of them are wealthy, having decided not to take up paid jobs but to become enterpreneurs.
Hence, they teamed up with their mother to stage a fantastic event for the eminent socialite. It did not surprise anyone to see galaxies of pretty ladies at the party since the celebrator is their leader in other social circles. They came from Ikorodu and other parts of Lagos State and were in splendid attires; their beauty was indeed magnetic.
Among the guests were friends of Idiat’s children, who flew in from abroad for the party. They added value to the occasion no doubt. The celebrator’s first child, Ramota, led this group of special returnees. She also recently celebrated her 40th birthday in a big style.
About three of Idiat’s children graduated from London schools in Business Administration, Mass Communication and Social Science, and because all her children are doing well in life, they decided to give their mother a befitting birthday gift. They rolled in a dazzling 2018 Lexus Jeep for her. It was presented to the celebrator by Oba Kabiru Shotobi, who was flanked by the Oba of Igbogbo, Oba Kasali and others. This was one of the highpoint of the occasion.
Another was when the lady of the moment, Idiat, hit the dance floor to enjoy her favourite musician’s performance. Wasiu did not disappoint her as he gave out the latest hits in his arsenal. Idiat and her children as well as the guests danced till late evening. Friends, relatives and associates extolled the pretty lady in words and action, showering her with gifts and love. Officers and members of Ikorodu NASFAT were also in full presence to honour the celebrator, who is not only their member, but a strong member of their Women Wing.
The occasion was no doubt one that Amori would not forget in a hurry. The memories would linger for long in her mind. It is a day every parent would wish for himself or herself.
