These are faces of the more than one hundred (100) pilgrims, who made this year’s Haj from Ikorodu division. They are about 107 in number, who went through the Lagos State Pilgrims’ Board. Though some of them are indigenes of Ikorodu, others are non-indigenes residing in Ikorodu division.
Each year at the Haj, they make out time to converge for prayers and lectures, and during such assemblies, they always invite the Publisher of Oriwu Sun, Alhaji Monzor Olowosago, to address them and provide hint on the nitty gritty of the Haj. For the past fifteen (15) years consecutively, Alhaji Olowosago had always fulfilled this invitation.
This year, he lectured them for more than forty five minutes after the pilgrims had returned from the Arafat rites. As in the past, he crowned the interaction with a gift of N1,000 to each of the 107 pilgrim, including their leaders and Imams.
The Proprietor of HOMAT Group of Schools, Alhaji M. T. Amusa, who was not at the event, supported the Publisher of Oriwu Sun with another N1,000 each to the Ikorodu pilgrims. The pilgrims reciprocated with encomiums and prayer galore for the two kind hearted illustrious sons of Ikorodu division. They praised Alhaji Monzor for humbling himself to meet with the pilgrims and for his kind donation as well as his beautiful and well delivered lecture. They prayed that Allah would replenish the Publisher’s pocket and bless him abundantly. These are faces of the more than one hundred (100) pilgrims, who made this year’s Haj from Ikorodu division.
