The residents of Ikorodu and passersby along Ogunshi-Sabo road have called on both the local and state governments to come to their rescue and put a stop to the indiscriminate dumping of refuse, which has become a source of offensive odour and environmental pollution to the residents and passerby alike.
While expressing their concerns to Oriwu Sun recently during investigation, some of the residents, who did not want their names in print said that the carelessness of residents, shop-owners and passersby in the area contributed to the heaps of refuse, which have become a nightmare because of the offensive odour emanating from there.
They said that the several heaps of refuse scattered all over the place starting from the beginning of Sabo – Ogunshi road at the Sabo roundabout down to the end of the road, which connects Alhaji Street, is a ticking time bomb waiting to explode.

Mrs. Kudirat Ademoye, a resident also bemoaned their situation stating that she usually felt bad when passing through the place whenever she closed from work.
