The Head of Regun Family Descendants Union of Agbele, Isenla and Itunpate, and the Regun of Ikorodu land, Chief Kameel Dada, on Saturday, September 23, 2017, hosted a tenth year remembrance party for her late mother, late Alhaja Suwebat Ajile Dada.
Describing her late mum as a jewel of inestimable value during the party, which was held at the Exclusive Club, Ikorodu, the celebrant urged those, who still have their parents, to take good care of them. According to Chief Dada, late Alhaja Suwebat Ajile was a woman of substance, a disciplinarian and a selfless woman, who cared well for all her six children. The Regun of Ikorodu said that he always remembered and missed her, but the tenth year remembrance anniversary was to elaborately celebrate her legacies better.
He told Oriwu Sun that her late mum was a caring woman, who dealt in selling and using herbs to help humanity. Speaking further, he said that most commendations given to fathers when their children become successful should go to their mothers. He enjoined children to love and care for their parents as they were responsible for nurturing them. Chief Regun’s younger sister, Olori Ajoke Adetunji, also described her mother as a good mother, who cared well for her and all her siblings. She admitted to having missed her motherly advice.
Features of the occasion included a live musical band, which entertained the guests with inspiring tunes while the caterers and service operators dished out delicious meals and assorted chilled drinks to the satisfaction of the guests. The family members and youths occupied two canopies at the premises of the venue. The music entertainment aspect did not end without Chief Regun and his siblings doing justice to it on the dance floor.
