S.O.B Agunbiade is a ‘divine messenger’, who has been rendering self-sacrificing services, from a tender age of a pupil, contributing to humanity and helping to shape the society.
His antecedents even before becoming a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly are testimonials to commitment and progressive calling.
Sanai Oyeniran Bolanle Agunbiade was captain of his class all through his primary school days. At the Lagos State College of Education, S.O.B was elected, two consecutive times to represent Biology/Chemistry Department at the Student Parliamentary Council. He was subsequently elected Welfare Director of the Students’ Union of the same institution and left indelible mark behind him with the struggle that produced the red – brick Lecture theatre which is the first lecture theatre in the institution.
As a Biology/ Chemistry teacher, he was elected as the Welfare Officer of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, (NUT) under the Chairmanship of Teacher Dabiri and was in the fore front of many struggles that improved teachers’ working condition under the first ever Association of Classroom Teachers (ACT). As a student of the Lagos State University (LASU), S.O.B Agunbiade was elected three (3) times to represent the Law Faculty at the Student Representative Council (SRC) (the legislative Arm) of the Students Union Government.
He was subsequently elected President of the Students’ Union. His regime, which was known and called Redemption Squad, got a befitting Students Union Arcade for the Union, amongst other indelible feet. As an Activist, Agunbiade participated actively in the June 12 struggle, to actualize the stolen mandate of M.K.O Abiola and fought for its actualization along- side some prominent Nigerians like Frank Kokori.
As President of the Association of Lagos State indigenes in the Nigeria Law School, Agunbiade led the struggle for Lagos state government to pay bursary to its indigenes in the Nigeria Law School. Together with Barrister S.O.K shillings, the struggle was successful and Law student of Lagos state extraction started to collect bursary from the state government.
As a member of Ikorodu Oga Development Association. S.O.B was among the few individuals that leveraged on the initiative of Congregate Club and Ajulo Opin Club to form the Association of Ikorodu Clubs and Societies which later transformed into IKORODU DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION. He was the initiator of the inclusion of Youth Activities committees in the Oga Day programme and was made the maiden secretary of the Committee.
As one of the most accessible elected representatives of his people, ever in the annals of the constituency, S.O.B Agunbiade has continued to live within his people in his constituency and from there he goes to work, and returns everyday. For this singular reason, he is loved and appreciated by his people.
He has given the people of Ikorodu Constituency 1, practical representation, both as a representative and a lawmaker, winning laurels for his efforts both from within and outside his constituency. Some of these awards include:

Agunbiade S.0.B worked himself so much into the heart of his people that the Royal Monarch of Ikorodu with his Chiefs, conferred on him and his wife, the prestigious titles of Opomulero and Yeye Opomulero of Ikorodu Kingdom. Sanai Oyeniran Bolanle is married and his marriage blessed with Okikiade, Oyekanmi and Olanwande.
