The Commander, Ikorodu Central Lagos State Neighourhood Safety Corps (LNSC), Mr. Sanni Ibrahim, has stated that the agency would collaborate with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in the fight against drug abuse and illicit trafficking of drugs in the community.

The Commander stated this during a courtesy visit to the office of the Commander NDLEA, Mr. Abdulazeez Ogungboye, on Friday, August 11, 2017 to familiarize with the agency in order to synergize on how to free the community from drug abuse and illicit trafficking. Mr. Sanni said he was worried about the rampant use and consumption of dangerous drugs among youths in the state and expressed his determination to fight the menace. Sanni also explained that the meeting was relevant and timely in view of the trends in drug trafficking and drug abuse. He warned that any security operatives caught in the act would be arrested immediately and charged to court to serve as a deterrent to others. He, therefore, tasked the LNSC officers not to relent but to do their work efficiently to help the NDLEA curtail the long term effect of drug abuse and illicit trafficking in the community.
