LAGOS COUNTRY CLUB, IKEJA HOSTS DR. ROBERT BROWN

Dr. Brown and his wife, Dr. (Mrs.) L’ Tanya Joy Brown, were on Friday, August 10, 2018 hosted by Oba Shotobi’s in-laws at the Club hall, Ikeja. At the reception organized by Otunba Oluwole Odulate, Oba Shotobi’s in-law, Dr. Brown, the Pillar of Ikorodu Kingdom, the American Human Rights Activist and former Special Adviser to the late American President, Richard Nixon as well as the founder of International Book Smart Foundation, was presented with various African Cultural Heritage treats like Ibo dances, Yoruba and Hausa traditional songs and Ewi rendition, among others.

After Oba Shotobi introduced Dr. Brown, the President of the Club, Mr. Tunji Akande (FCA), urged all Africans, especially Nigerians, to learn from Dr. Brown by living a life that would touch others positively. Dr. Brown received a talking drum and both he and his wife were decorated with the Club’s Crest. A text was also delivered at the occasion, which came from Oprah Winfrey, who was unavoidably absent at the occasion. In the text, there was a theme titled: “Identity Passport to Freedom,” where she advised everyone to cherish their culture and tradition as their identity.

Lavish merriment ended the occasion.
